New user question regarding auto-scheduling

I have been using rachio for past 3 months with a daily schedule set to skip watering based on all skip recommendations. I realized last month that my rachio didn’t water on the days when it didn’t skip. I tested it out by creating a new schedule to water in next 5 mins and unchecked all skips but it didn’t water. Essentially, Rachio’s scheduled watering doesn’t work for me. I bought it from Costco and looking to return but seems like a software issue so wondering if anyone has any tips for me to try before I return it.

First, what sort of schedule are you running? Fixed, Flex Monthly, or Flex Daily? If you are running a Flex Daily schedule, it won’t water daily. It waters when certain criteria are met (i.e., it fills the zone with water, then checks daily to see if the plants have used a certain amount of that available water.) Only when that level of water falls below a certain level does the zone get rewatered.

Thanks for responding! I have a fixed schedule. For the rest of the settings here is screenshot

It looks like you are only watering on Mondays. Is that correct? And watering at 9 pm. Are you sure it isn’t watering then?

It is set to Monday and it skipped all the time. It was cold and rain frequently till recently so I didn’t realize that it was skipping days when it was supposed to actually run it. I had created temporary schedules that run only when I select “Quick Run”. Look at the calendar to see it never ran (but skipped on those days when mattered)

If you select the 3rd or 17th, what does it say for why it skipped? If it was rainy or windy, then it won’t water on those days, but waits until the next scheduled day to water. If it’s once again rainy or windy on that day, it will skip again.

Personally, I would add an additional day or two that it can water to the schedule and see what happens. However, I am not an expert with this system, and hopefully one of them will help out.

I have other schedules that are supposed to water daily and those don’t :). I would rather return this and get another one.
