My neighborhood grid frequently has brief power outages, maybe one/week. When the utility company restores the power to the neighborhood, my Rachio controller will not power up again, unless I unplug the AC plug and reinsert it. Nothing else on the circuit has a problem (a clock, Li-ion chargers, a light, etc). Rachio support has been very helpful (a new controller with AC adapter, a new adapter, etc), but I still have the problem. The circuit meters fine.
Any ideas out there? Thanks much!
With brief power outages, I personally might try using a small UPS (battery backup) if possible. That should also help for power surges that you might also be getting when the power comes back on.
