Anytime I try to manually start a zone or a list of zones it takes a few minutes before the first zone starts.
Any ideas why this would be? It seems like they should start right away but I get the circling arrow around the start stop button. Sometimes it doesn’t start at all and other times it starts after a few minutes. Doesn’t seem right.
Anybody else see this and what to do about it?
Do you have a master valve or pump? How far is it from the first valve (including any master valve / pump) to the first sprinkler of the “first” zone? If you have a fair distance and king drains, it could be doing its job draining when it is off and then takes a little while to fill & build pressure when you turn it on. Does not seem like it should be a few minutes though.
Not far at all, this is a residential lot and I bet it’s less than 100 feet. The old timer came on instantly.
Pressure? Valve starting to go bad (takes a while to open up all the way)? Guessing no pump or master valve? When it first comes on, do you hear air coming out of the first sprinkler?
Are you talking the manual 3 minute run from the unit itself, or from the app?
