Going into my second full season with the Rachio 3. We had a new lawn installed in June 2018 where we just used a fixed schedule, but last year mostly used a flex daily schedule. I measured the output of each zone, had the soil analyzed as Clay Loam, but the problem is that the system would run for 8-12 hours, resulting in a lot of runoff, made worse by how compacted my soil is. My grass got very brown with a lot of die off in the fall which I think was due to under watering, which makes no sense given the run times. I’m looking for ways to better set my schedule to keep a healthy lawn.
