LED grow lights are revolutionary. They still use a lot of energy but so so much less than incandescents and so much less heat. Plus seemingly better light spectrums characteristics. We bought an LED lamp for cilantro and holy basil over the winter. Worked great w/a WEMO smart plug for a timer. Might try to grow starts for the vegetable garden next year but first gotta get through a test run with store-bought plants. Almost got irrigation set up for Rachio to control!

definitely – the bank of LEDs were on my dresser :slight_smile: Got quite a bit of cilantro and holy basil out of that setup with regular ol’ potting soil.
