certain zones I dont want running at certain times and of course all zones need to not run when a party is happening etc.
Any quick tips?

Well, you set the schedules to run whenever you want, but to exclude a random party would probably take a bit more work utilizing IFTTT or something…assuming you want to automate it and not rely on you remembering to shut the system off for the party…
