I had three small Toro (53380) valves, I got tired of messing with them getting stuck on when using the bleed screw and now one was leaking so I replaced them all with Rain Bird CPF075 valves. I did not know they were so much bigger, took me all weekend to swap them out.
No leaks that I can see and they all seem to be working but now one of the three zones shows a flow rate of 14.8 gpm and sets off the alert and disables the zone. Not sure when I last calibrated them but it had been some time. They were all set to 12 point something gpm. Each zone has the same number of heads and I don’t see any leaks. The flow rate/pressure changes at the house day to day or for time of day but testing them all just now, the other zones both show 10 gpm so it seems odd that the one zone is so much higher.
I’d never gotten the alert before and watching them run, they look ok. In the past if a head was damaged I’d not get an alert and the other heads would look like they did not have enough water pressure.
I’ve recalibrated the zone but I’m not sure why this zone seems to be using almost 50% more water with the same number of heads and did not seem to have a flow this high before.
