EveryDrop Flow Meter Issue

I have an EveryDrop flow meter #ED-1004-EX on my Rachio system with 4 zones. I’m getting a flow notification on the app that reads 0.0 flow every time after it waters. It’s only happening on one zone 2 and not on any of the other three zones. I have proven the zone 2 is watering, and I’ve recalibrated it multiple times, however, the same notification continues to show up. Need help on troubleshooting the flow meter.

The Everydrop is spec’d for 0.5 to 30.0 GPM (0.1 GPM resolution). In the user manual, the Accuracy chart indicates the range from 0.0 to 1.0 is satisfactory for leak detection.

It appears, from your screenshot, that your flow threshold has been computed as 1.1 GPM (by calibration?), just above the low threshold for the meter. It’s not clear whether Rachio would necessarily see any pulses to count (ie: near zero) depending on how much flow you’ve got available on the zone in question. Guessing your zone 2 is drip irrigation with < 1 gpm flow.

Thank you for your response. Yes, Zone 2 are drip lines. After calibration, that is all Zone 2 requires. Not certain where I go from here.

I just replaced mine. It had cracked from a light freeze we had this past winter. If it’s a wired one just take off the cover and if water flows out then you’ll have to replace it. Those guys over there at Everydrop are great people and are there to help.

You might configure the zone to exempt it from flow monitoring and warnings: zone / EDIT / Flow settings: Enable flow monitoring - OFF, Auto shut off - OFF

Then, calculate a flow rate (perhaps by manual calibration from your meter) to plug in at: zone / EDIT / Advanced / Nozzle Inches Per Hour

Precipitation rate (in/hr) = 96.25 x flow (gpm) / area (sq ft)

where you estimate the area covered by your drippers. There are drip users in this forum who can help.
