Here’s one example … I live at the end of a cul-de-sac and have one zone that covers a small, wedge-shaped area between my driveway and the neighbor’s driveway. Zone overshoots a bit and on certain days, so that it doesn’t drench my neighbor as he’s leaving for work, I’ll delay that zone. Am pretty sure others will be able to come up with better examples!

I like to water my more stressed zones first. This allows the water to get in and penetrate for a little longer before the sun/wind get to it. At least that’s my thinking, not sure whether it actually helps or not???

Impact heads outside the bedroom? Schedule so they don’t run during sleeping hours.
High volume and drip on the same schedule? Let the high volume finish before daylight.
“Technical” zone e.g. one that back-flushes the filter? Run it last.
