Can I start a pump and a master valve simultaneously?

I would presume so, but I ran across this in the Knowledge Base:

Note: You cannot combine more than one master valve wire in the blue master valve/pump slot on the controller. This will only work for specific zones.

I have a client who needs a booster pump added, and the system is on city water and I’d like to maintain the protection of the master valve.

I’m a little confused- are you trying to wire the pump and the master valve in the same slot? If so, the issue is that would be running three valves at once, which the controller cannot support. Let me know if I understood your question correctly.
