Why upgrade to Gen2

My 8 zone Gen1 unit works just fine. What additional features or benefits are there if one upgrades to Gen2.
I have had it for two seasons and based on the reported savings in water usage I have another season to go just to get my ROI on my Gen1 unit? What is the justification to upgrade?

buttons (if you need them)
underlying hardware is different and will allow for future platform integrations
amazing custom outdoor enclosure if you want to lock or hardwire
easier wiring bay if have many zones
flow sensor capabilities (coming soon)
easier pairing process (but like you said mostly a one and done)
living on the cutting edge!

So I’d say manual control buttons and flow sensor capability if you want to add that are the reasons today. I’m not sure if there are any platform integrations that can’t be done with the Gen 1 version today. Oh, and living on the cutting edge!
