I just put my new richio 3 system in and now I am wondering what I should put down for soil type. I have NEVER heard of these types of soil, we mainly have black dirt here. I looked up all the types of soil and nothing matches to what the app or website says. Thanks in advance.
There is a really well done write up that goes over using the USDA Soil Survey site to help see characteristics about your soil. Maybe following that can help you based on your location. The post is here: Using Web Soil Survey to define your soil settings.
A couple pages in to the PDF in that post shows where to find the soil type you have based on the location you put in.
The app will also default to the most common soil type for based on your location which may work well for you.
