So, I applied for an exemption from being restricted to watering two days a week. Went on my local Joint Powers website and happened to look under forms and their was a form for requesting an exemption(go figure, they certainly don’t advertise this). I feel like they could get more people on board with trying to conserve water if they didn’t bury this on the back of their website. They are definitely missing an education opportunity.

My variance was denied but in the process of all this, I found out that I can get a 50%rebate on the cost of the controller.

Do they give you a reason for rejection on the exception?

@tmcgahey, I just took in my original receipt and they made a copy and will apply my rebate as a credit on my next water bill. They just said they don’t give a variance based solely on the fact I installed a smart controller.
