Rain Bird ESP Modular to rachio 3 - 16 Zone

Sorry if this is a redundant Post. Iā€™ m a newb here and could not find anything relevant in quick time. I am replacing a rainbird ESP that currently has 10 zones. A bunch of old wires from the previous owners. Not sure what to make of them. Had previous repair people out that told me not me not to worry about them (makes me curious). So I am upgrading to a rachio-3 16 zone. Not sure about the wires that go to the COM on the old unit(yellow and White) See Pictures.

All help is much appreciated.

It appears that someone made an extension of the Common wire with a piece of yellow. The yellow and the white should plug in to the white terminal on the Gen 3 Rachio.
