Is there a feature on the road map to allow local controller discovery/control via multicast? It would be super cool to fire up a manual zone with an interrupted Internet connection.
@plainsane No plans in the near future. We do have a open API if you want to write your own mashup.
Let us know if you have any other feedback or questions.
Thanks and have a great night!
Thanx, I was more interested in local control. Is it safe to assume if the Internet is down, the device does not run? Or is the schedule processed on local hardware?
@plainsane If the internet is down, we will run the last programmed schedules just as would a normal non-connected controller.
Let us know if you have any other questions or feedback.
Thanks!
what about stop/starting zones with an interrupted internet connection, but a local wifi network? Can the iro still be managed/controlled?
No.
