HomeKit Connection Troubleshooting

I am a new Rachio 3 user. All my zones is working through the app but when I tried to add it to HomeKit it just sits there trying to find it but never does (using the code from the app).

I am hesitant to do a factory reset so is there a quicker way to not have to reset everything back up to get my HomeKit to add it?

Just a happy update. I unplugged the Rachio, waited 20 secs, plugged it back in and whenI tried again to join it in my HomeKit, viola, it worked!

I have seen other posts on why bother with HomeKit. Well, like most people in the Apple eco system, I was looking for automation things specifically compatible with HomeKit and I am glad to see Rachio.

Now if I can only find an auto washing HomeKit appliance for my dog…

Worked for me too! Thanks

Worked for me too. Thanks! Rachio should add this step to troubleshooting. On another note:
This is from the Support page (Siri responds that my controller does not support these commands):

How to control Rachio from Siri

You can use the following example prompts or commands to run your Rachio 3 with Siri:

  • “Turn on [zone name]”
  • “Siri, stop watering”
  • “Please water [zone name] for [X] minutes”
  • “Turn on [zone name] for [X] minutes”
