I’d like to know if there is a way to directly access the Rachio unit, instead of through the cloud. If the internet is down I could easily have a program that detects that and accesses the unit and waters on some locally stored schedule.
This is also important to me for longevity of the unit. I really like Rachio and hope they stay around forever, but what happens to everyone if Rachio shutters or is bought by Toro, Apple, or someone and the website disappears, the API disappears? Since the units rely on these websites and such we’d all have to buy new units 
Anyway, I’m just curious if there is anything offered.
