I’m looking for an inexpensive controller for my newly installed Rachio. This is just something to keep in the garage for when the service people come by. I was thinking about getting a cheap used iPod touch. Any suggestions on what kind of unit I can use for this purpose?
@dlleon I think any iPod touch will work running at least iOS 7, preferably 8.
We do a lot of our testing with a iPhone 5 that isn’t connected to a carrier, just WiFi.

Do your service people(s) have a smart phone? If so, you should check out the sharing access feature.
