A question for the electrical people

At our Michigan house we just replaced out Rainbird controller with a Rachio 3. The old Rainbird had a 1 or 2 amp fuse that protected something in the event of a valve solenoid failure and we had a solenoid short out (internally) and blow the fuse. Obviously, once the faulty solenoid was replaced and an new fuse installed, everything worked perfectly again. So the question is: So what happens of a solenoid shorts out again? Is there a hidden fuse or a circuit breaker somewhere, or does the unit go up in smoke?

@Beckett - @Franz can come over the top here and fix anything that I Bozo, but the Rachio unit will sense the brownout due to the higher electrical load and shuts down:

Ok, thanks. That’s much better than the Rain Bird.
